Lord Dolar Popat of Harrow visited LABA’s offices to discuss the Government and BIS offerings and support to SME’s , financial support and assistance for exports. Jaspal Singh Minhas the President of LABA took the opportunity to honour Lord Popat with an honorary membership of LABA. “Lord Popat has made an outstanding contribution by championed the corner of SME’s and Exports via the Selected Committee at House of Lords” said Mr Minhas.
Uday Dholakia Chairman of the National Asian Business Association took the opportunity to brief Lord Popat on the regulatory burdens effecting importers, especially importer of supplier chain based products such as fruit, vegetables, spices and other agro-products. “NABA is looking to partner the Department of Business Innovation and Skills to do scoping study to gauge where the import regulation is a burden for British Asian importers and what can be done to elevate this burden” confirmed Uday Dholakia., who called on the support of all the Asian media to assist in identifying importers who are facing regulatory challenge to contact him on uday@nabauk.org
