Naked brutality, inhumane torture and open human rights violation is being carried out in broad day light, where stories of injustice are spoken about proudly by those committing the acts however those who should speak up out about  them such as  “human rights” organisations and our  broadcast media decide to remain quiet and watch the scene play by.  Burma, a state ruled by military for half a decade and has finally regained freedom from military rule, has a history of violence and abuse targeting the Muslim minority in the country, who make o.7 million of the 75 million Burmese population. The history of this violence goes a long time back but the real riots -started when eleven Muslim men were killed by the Burmese army and Buddhist Mobs after being dragged down from the bus. This led to series of such events, which were protested against by Muslims in Arakan a Muslim majority area but they fell to the cruelty and oppression of the mobs and army both. More than 300 villages have been burnt and thousands have been slaughtered like animals. Naked burnt bodies of new born children to old aged people were lying around like those of animals. 100,000 people have been forced to leave the country and are refugees Neighbouring countries such as Bangladesh, where aid of any sort is forbidden for them. They are not allowed to work or go outside their camps and remain restricted, hunger stricken lying out on the cold, wet ground, with deadly diseases and no help and those going to Thailand, hidden undercover in boats are being sold by Thai officials. We remain quiet in the face of this injustice. Organisations such as UNO and UNICEF seem quite helpless and no one dares to speak.
