Car company Nissan India and heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor are looking for 20 wannabes to co-star in a Bollywood film, with auditions taking place all on Facebook.
The auditions kicked off on October 19 and fans have been uploading short clips of themselves pulling their best Bollywood moves.
The winners will strut their stuff alongside Ranbir in a three-minute blockbuster, New Star if India.
The public will be able to vote for their favourite dancers and the 20 most popular auditionees will be getting the coveted slots on the silver screen.
And if that wasn’t enough for those tempted to start clicking away, the voting public will also help in producing the film, by shaping the plot, choosing the music, picking the wardrobe and naming the characters.
But the screening of the new movie doesn’t stop at Facebook. The film will also be premiered at exclusive red carpet events in cities across India in January next year and on top of the VIP treatment; the lucky 20 will be in with the chance of winning one of six Nissan Micras (gritting teeth with envy).
About the project, Ranbir told IBN, “I’m incredibly excited to be involved in this ground-breaking movie – no one’s attempted anything like it before.”
But the Rockstar actor also had some encouraging words for his fans.
He said, “To all fans out there, this is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join me in the magic of the movies. I’m looking forward to seeing your auditions and can’t wait to meet my co-stars, so get dancing, get voting and get involved!”
I usually don’t “Like” a page unless I know the person who set it up, have read a page or two of posts to see if they’re at all interesting to me, and feel compelled to comment on something there (is there really any other reason to “Like” a page? Thanks for your posting. One other thing is that individual states in the United states of america have their own laws in which affect people, which makes it very, very hard for the the nation’s lawmakers to come up with a different set of guidelines concerning foreclosure on people. The problem is that each state provides own laws and regulations which may have impact in an unfavorable manner in terms of foreclosure policies.
