The donation, which comes from the Police Property Act fund means Halesowen’s Asian Elderly Association can now continue to run the day centre which offers the Asian community advice, information and provides social and educational facilities.

The day centre is open three days a week and based in St Paul’s Church Hall, Vicarage Road, Halesowen.

PC Paul Chambers based at Halesowen police station said; “The Asian Elderly Association is extremely well attended by the Asian community from not only Halesowen but also Cradley Heath, Blackheath, Oldbury, Rowley Regis and Old Hill.
