Former IBF Welterweight champion has slammed his bitter rival Amir Khan in the media and stated that Khan is a ‘media whore’ for his flashy, celebrity lifestyle. Brook compared the Bolton boxer to Kim Kardashian after their alleged ‘super fight’ was brought back to life.
Brook recently lost his IBF welterweight crown against undefeated American Errol Spence Jr at Bramall Lane, Sheffield. Nevertheless, Khan and Brook could still square off in the near future as rumours emerge. Before Brook signed to fight Spence it seemed certain that Brook would face Khan, but due to disagreements and various other reasons the fight was never signed.
However, Brook has been more angered at the way Khan looked down his nose at him and chased the ‘big’ fights rather than come towards any final agreements that would see the pair fight. Brook had this to say; ‘He is comical, he is Amir Khardashian, he is a media whore. He has so much drama around him and he’s in the paper all of the time for the wrong reasons, it’s all good, it’s funny.’
These comments have followed a string of negative headlines surrounding Khan’s private life over the past few months. A true rivalry many are hoping that the pair will battle it out in the ring once and for all to determine who is the alpha fighter.
