EASTER BANK HOLIDAY CHALLENGE FROM BMW

'Draw it on paper, build it out of boxes, or even use piles of laundry'

While Easter might be a bit different this year, it doesn’t mean you and your families can’t have some fun. And since we’ll be staying at home during the bank holiday weekend this year, we wanted to see if we could help out.

BMW UK is launching a competition today (Friday, 10 April) across its social media channels, asking our followers to test their creativity by building the best model car they can – using only things you can find in your house.

Draw it on paper, build it out of boxes, or even use piles of laundry – show us your creations by commenting on our Twitter or Facebook Easter Post (publishing tomorrow Friday 10 April), or by uploading to Instagram and using the hashtag #homemadeBMW. Five lucky winners who produce the most creative ideas will get some BMW prizes.

For the many budding creatives among our media friends, if you or your children would like to get involved, we’ve got some extra special prizes set aside. Simply tag Chris or Helen into your social posts.

In the meantime, we have some other suggestions to keep you and families entertained.

BMW Education, an award winning educational resource for primary and secondary school students, which focuses on road safety and sustainability. A specially developed tool, i-Living helps pupils explore a range of topics, including urbanisation, energy use and sustainable design.

BMW Colouring Pictures for Kids (and grownups) have been uploaded to the BMW website for those who are getting a little bored at home. BMW X5 and BMW Concept i4 are among the designs intended for children. For adults or adventurous kids, slightly more challenging BMW M3 DTM (E30) and BMW M8 designs are available.

Finally, there’s a selection of printable BMW Board Games including “The Big BMW Race”, “Park Your BMW” and “Find The Pair” – all you need to play is a printer, a pair of scissors and a dice.
