Leeds-based We Heer You is expanding its team to mark one year in business – the successful social media agency has secured 18 new clients in just 12 months following its launch.
Founded by Amanjit Heer, We Heer You has taken on big name clients from the get-go, including the Green Sheep Group and Kingsland Drinks, and recently opened its doors in Yorkshire House, Greek Street, Leeds.
The new agency has also signed a celebrity client, hip hop artist Krept, with more details of the project to be revealed later this year.
Director and consultant Amanjit Heer originally set up in 2021 as a freelance, however the business has quickly evolved due to new business wins – expanding into an agency model.
Among the new appointments is social media manager, Sarah Williams, who has previously worked for global media agency, iProspect. Sarah will be developing client social strategies and planning, as well working with the We Heer You team on its influencer activities and content.
Amanjit – who launched the business in May 2021 – was previously head of social media for Kellogg’s UK and Ireland where she spent four years in its MediaCityUK head office. Prior to Kellogg’s she worked for Northampton PR agency Azaria.
Speaking about We Heer You’s rapid growth, Amanjit said: “It has been a fantastic first year for We Heer You. Launching the business during a pandemic was always going to present its challenges but it has been an exciting time for us.
“With many businesses changing how they operate with freelancers and agencies, we have been able to grow quickly and build an interesting, bespoke client portfolio. It’s our mission to create strong socials that allow businesses to truly flourish online, we pride ourselves on listening to clients wants, needs and vision, to reach their business objectives.”
Turning over nearly £100k in the first year, We Heer You has big growth plans spanning the next five years. Amanjit added: “I would love to expand into other markets, focusing our new business in the USA and UAE. We aim to double turn over in year two and further expand the team in 2022.”
