A Well Wishers charity partnership with Enoch Evans LLP Solicitors for Make Your Will Fortnight has netted more than £1200.

The cash generated through last November’s fundraiser will be used to transform a room on Ward 1 into a more homely environment, with a bed settee, tub chairs, coffee table and pictures. This is so that staff can have sensitive conversations with family members, patients can take time out and a family member will be able to stay near their loved ones if necessary. The ward cares for elderly patients.

Solicitors from the Walsall firm once again kindly offered their time and expertise to support people in getting their affairs in order and agreed that 100% of the donations made would go to Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust’s Well Wishers charity.

Partner and Head of Wills, Tax and Probate at Enoch Evans LLP, Richard Neea, came into Walsall Manor Hospital to hand over a cheque for £1,270 much to the delight of Matron Michelle Crutchley who received it on behalf of Ward 1.

Richard said: “We were delighted to support Well Wishers again this year for Make Your Will Fortnight – it is fantastic to see that the money raised directly benefits patients across the borough.

“We hope the room makeover will provide a better environment for families using healthcare services.”

Georgie Westley, Fundraising Manager, added: “We really appreciate this partnership with Enoch Evans and would like to thank its staff for their generous support for our charity.”
