Mark Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer at Motorpoint, explained: “The Ford Fiesta continues to prove perennially popular with Motorpoint customers and it’s easy to see why. It is an iconic hatchback, whose styling, technology, reliability, and price, make it the perfect all-round budget car for people of all ages. The inclusion of the Vauxhall Corsa and the continued presence of the Ford Focus and Fiat 500 in our Top 10 continue to reflect the industry wide move towards smaller, greener, more budget conscious vehicles, a trend which we expect to continue into this year and beyond.”
The drive towards smaller, greener cars is also reflected in the fuel type preferred by Motorpoint customers over the last 12 months with petrol now accounting for 68 per cent of all sales – up almost 10 per cent on the previous year.
Mark Carpenter added: “The inclusion of the equally iconic Ford Transit in our Top 10 was definitely an interesting albeit welcome addition. It highlights the huge appetite among our customer base to buy great value commercial vehicles from Motorpoint while taking advantage of our complimentary services such as free Home Delivery in the process – particularly during the lockdowns.”
Motorpoint currently stocks over 6,000 low mileage, nearly news cars and light commercial vehicles from 30 different manufacturers across its group, all of which have less than 30,000 miles.
Plus, every vehicle is checked by experts from Motorpoint and comes with the balance of manufacturer’s warranty (or six-month Motorpoint warranty) backed by the Motorpoint Price Promise. This means Motorpoint will refund the difference to any customer within seven days of their order if they find the same car cheaper from a competitor. As an added bonus, Motorpoint will also give the customer £50 worth of Amazon vouchers to spend.
And, while all stores are temporarily closed to visitors due to the new COVID-19 regulations, customers still have the option to go online and reserve their car for collection from their nearest store, even on the same day if they would prefer. * All stores will be open for collections between 10am – 6pm between Monday and Friday and between 10am – 4pm on Saturday. Reserve and Collect will not be available on a Sunday.
Alternatively, customers can take advantage of Motorpoint’s free Home Delivery service and have their next low mileage, nearly new car brought to their door anywhere on the UK mainland. This is backed a 14-day money back guarantee to ensure total piece of mind when purchasing.
Mark Carpenter said: “The roll out of our free Home Delivery and Reserve and Collect options over the last year have proved extremely popular with customers and we are already looking at how we can enhance these services further to make choosing, buying and driving away in a low mileage, nearly new car from Motorpoint, whether that’s instore or online, even easier in 2021.”
