Turkish Airlines, the country’s flag carrier, has expanded its extensive route network to include the largest city in Australia, Sydney. Beginning on December 4, 2024, four weekly flights from Istanbul to Sydney will be conducted using A350-900 aircraft via Kuala Lumpur.

The expansion of trade, tourism, and cultural interchange between Turkey and Australia will be strengthened by this new route. Turkish Airlines’ Sydney to Istanbul launch rates are 1489 AUD and 999 USD.

Ticketing date: 12 September- 31 December 2024

Travel Date: 4 December 2024- 31 May 2025

With a fuel stop at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) in Malaysia, the airline will link Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD) to its base airport (IST).

Arriving in Kuala Lumpur around 6:20 am (+1), flight TK174 will take off from Istanbul at 3:15 pm. The flight continuation is scheduled to depart Kuala Lumpur at 7:40 am (+1) and arrive in Sydney at 6:30 pm (+1). TK175 is scheduled to depart from Melbourne at 8:40 pm local time and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 1:55 am (+1). The return flight from Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to depart at 3:55 am (+1) and arrive in Istanbul at 10:15 am (+1).

Sydney will also be our first destination in Australia to have nonstop flights when we receive the aircraft capable of making the journey in a single leg.”
