Shabana Hussain has been shortlisted for the Freelancer of the Year Awards 2018.

Shabana founded her Business in 2015 and in just two and a half years, she has booked over 70 jobs that range from TFL voiceovers to roles in feature films.

The freelancer awards are now in their fifth year and have been designed to celebrate not only the country’s best and brightest freelancers but also the individuals and organisations that are supporting the world of freelancing.

The nominees are judged based on a range of criteria, including their passion and commitment to freelancing, the strength of their portfolio, business acumen and creativity and the distinctiveness of their offering.

Shabana has had many roles in BBC’s Doctors and Murdered for Love, where she carved out her niche as a leading British-Pakistani actress. Coaching and mentoring fellow actors is a passion of Shabana‘s.

After witnessing Shabana‘s success, many actors are now seeking out her advice and assistance, and she is also helping them use social media to get noticed in the industry.

Shabana said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be a finalist in the 2018 ipse Freelancer of the Year awards.

“As a full-time actress my focus on the business side of “show business” is certainly paying off.”
