VU Security, a multinational cybersecurity company focused on fraud prevention and identity protection, which has already more than 100 corporate clients in Latin America, announces its landing on the European continent with the opening of a new office in London, under the name VU Security Limited.
During 2019, prestigious entities from different parts of the world recognized VU’s effort to improve citizens’ lives: Microsoft Country Partner of the Year, Softshell Vendor Award in Germany, winners of the Accelerate Spain program, and as finalists of the competition organized by the New York City Hall and Jerusalem Venture Partners, Israel’s leading venture capital firm.
During this year, the growth of VU was also reflected in its work team. In that period, the company increased its workforce by 62% compared to 2018 and it is actively working with the goal of becoming the largest cybersecurity employer in the next 10 years. The company already has a team in Europe to help grow its business and spread its knowledge and technologies all over the continent. To carry out its global expansion plans, in the next 3 years, the company plans to invest 2 million pounds in Research and Development.
“Our desire for 2020 is to continue working on providing innovative and quality solutions that help companies around the world to strengthen their businesses and continue to work in our commitment of helping people have a better quality of life,” said Sebastian Stranieri, CEO of the company. “In VU there are no boundaries that stop us. We will maintain the same passion and commitment that have characterized us to open more offices in different parts of the world, as well as expand our cybersecurity professional team globally. We are pleased to have the support of governments such as the United Kingdom, through the Department of International Trade (DIT). This milestone helps to prove that we are on the right track and that we are reaping the fruits of responsible and serious work for many years”, he concluded.
To lead the European landing, VU chose Tiziano Di Biase, one of the founders of the Financial Innovation Board of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic and graduated from the London School of Economics with the Chevening grant from the British government. “This achievement is the result of almost a year of work in which we seek to capitalize on the experience of VU and the enormous potential that the digital transformation presents in a market such as the European one” said Di Biase, Regional Director since February.
“VU is an Argentine cybersecurity company that already operates all of Latin America with banks, retail and government sectors. Their products are fantastic and now they are heading to the United Kingdom to take advantage of the extraordinary fintech system and continue growing,” said Joanna Crellin, HM Commissioner of Commerce for Latin America and the Caribbean / General Consul at the British Consulate General of São Paulo.
