Throughout the years, crime in the UK has risen amongst the youth. Atleast 46,000 young people are linked to violent groups in the country. Kids today are involved in crime, either selling drugs on the streets or being involved in stabbings. Local authorities state that most of these youths have experienced past trauma and abuse, making them vulnerable and easily influenced.
To help keep vulnerable teens off the streets, Haroon Iqbal and Sahil Zafran have set up a free youth event called ‘WAKE UP CALL’ which will take place on 18th August 2018 at Sultan Bahu Centre Alum Rock. The event starts at 6:30 pm till 9:15 pm.
Rahib Rashid will be hosting this youth event. Special guests include speeches made by Imam Ijaaz Shaami & Shaykh Asim Ul Qadri and Superintendent of West Midlands Police Kenny Bell. There will be Naat performances by Ahmed Rubani, Ismail Hussain and Kafi Sultani. Sahil Zafran, son of Mohammed Zafran BEM, Director of Unite & Uplift, will be reciting a Tilawaat.
Haroon Iqbal has organised this event to help keep vulnerable youths off the streets. The aim is to try and motivate and encourage youths to work hard and achieve positive results. WAKE UP CALL is aimed to help youths to get a better education or even join sport clubs where they can interact with each other and keep off the streets.
Haroon Iqbal and Sahil Zafran are hoping to make a difference to atleast one person’s life.
Please, everyone, attend this free youth event in Birmingham.
