After 15,000 nominations were made, the finalists for the first ever British Asian Music Awards have been revealed.
The award ceremony, powered by German Donner Kebab and Oceanic Events, will be held virtually on the 17th of December.
There are 19 different categories for these awards, which are being presented in partnership with partnership with Sunrise London, Asian Sound Radio, Awaz FM, XL Radio, Radio Faza, Lyca Radio and Sabras FM.
They recognise and remember those in the British Asian community who stood out during a difficult time for the music industry.
In Emerging Artist of the year the nominees are Caps, JJ Esko, Haseeb Haze, Fusion, Nish and Amanjot Sanga.
In Pioneers the nominees are Metz and Trix, H Dhami, DR Zeus, Jay Sean and Punjab Hit Squad.
In Track of the Year the nominees are Jasmine Sandlas – Mago, Caps – Soniyeh, Koomz – Passenger, Manni Sandhu – Schedule and Coolie ft Jaz Dhami – Kisan.
In Icon of the Year the nominees are Manj Musik, Jaz Dhami, Arjun, Zack Knight and Juggy D.
In Male Artist of the Year the nominees are Arjun, Zack Knight, Sparkaman, Kadam Verma and Mumzy Stranger.
In Female Artist of the Year the nominees are Jasmin Walia, Rameet Sandhu, Nish Asher, Tasha Tah and Nikitar.
In International Star of the year the nominees are Mickey Singh, F1rstman, Tesher, PropheC, Raja Kumari, Guru Randhawa and Jasmine Kaur Sandlas.
In Video of the year the nominees are Raxstar – Lockdown, Fusion Cha Sha, Mumzy Stranger – Thought it was love, Ezu Jaanat and Zack Knight & Amar Sandhu – Armani
In Best Collaboration of the Year the nominees are Raxstar ft Raashi Sood – Fix This, Muki & Sparkaman ft Asiya – Vaadeh, Pak-man & G Bugz – Phone calls, Sidhu Moosewala.Steel Banglez ‘47’ and DJ Lyan ft Kanika Kapoor, Arjun, Mumzy Stranger and Nish – After Party.
In Hip Hop Artist of the Year the nominees are Frenzo, Pak-Man, S Dogg, Jagga, Premz, TaZzZ and Jay Milli.
In Female DJ of the year the nominees are Kadia Khan, DJ Nish, DJ Kizzi, DJ Naina and DJ Nabihah Iqbal.
In Producer of the year the nominees are Bajaj, Bajaj music, Rude Kid, Sevaqk and Bups Saggu.
In Breakthrough Act the nominees are Rio Jan, Mayan, Official D8, Heeral Chhatralia and Celina Sharma.
In Legacy Band Award the Nominees are RDB, B21, DCS, Sahara and Apna Sangeet.
In DJ of the Year the Nominees are AJD, DJ Limelight, DJ Bupps, Kan D Man, DJ Naeem, DJ Shraii and DJ Upperkutz.
In Radio Presenter of the Year the nominees are Anushka Arora, Harpz Kaur, sheene sedani, Nikita Kanda and Ameet Chana.
In One to Watch the nominees are Asha Gold, Pritt, Hana Malik, Nayana IZ and Bilal Shahid.
The recipients of the final two awards, Hall of Fame and Lifetime achievement, will be announced closer to the event.
