With a day away from its theatrical release, fans are eagerly waiting for India’s magnum opus, Adipurush. Starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, here’s a few fun facts about the characters to keep you excited.
1) The film was made on a huge budget of 500 crores, with Prabhas’ fees reportedly being 100 crores for Adipurush, making it one of the most expensive Indian films to be made.
2) Adipurush’s divine track ‘Jai Shri Ram’ quickly became the most viewed video on various platforms within a mere 24 hours.
3) While ‘Adipurush’ translates in English as ‘the first man’, Om Raut interprets it as ‘the best man’ in the context of the film.
4) Adipurush has extensively used ‘motion capture technology’ that has been previously used in films like Avatar.
5) Om Raut who collaborates with Bhushan Kumar after the blockbuster success of Tanhaji was fascinated with the 1992 Japanese film Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Ram which gave him the idea to adapt the epic Ramayana for the big screen using modern technology.
