Six Birmingham men have been arrested for planning terrorism acts, including a suicide bombing plan.

Four of them men have been charged with preparing terrorism plan in theUK, while two others failed to give information.

Irfan Nasser, 32, from Sparkhill and Irafan Khalid, 26, of Balsall Heath, reportedly travelled to Pakistan to train in terrorism.

They were also accused of making a martyrdom video, planning a bombing campaign and making a home-made explosive device.

The two men admitted an intention to become suicide bombers.

Ashik Ali, 26, also of Balsall Heath is accused of planning a bombing campaign, providing premises for the planning of the attacks and admitting intention to become a suicide bomber.

Rahin Ahmed, 25 from Moseley, is accused of funding the terrorist acts.

However, Mohammed Rizwan, 32, and Bahader Ali, 28, both from Sparkbrook, are both charged with failing to give information about the potential attacks.

Between 29 July and 19 September this year, both allegedly had information, which they knew would help stop the potential acts, but refused to share the information with police.

The offences are guessed to have taken place between Christmas 2010 and 19 September.

A seventh man, aged 20, has been arrested and continues to be questioned.

The men were arrested as part of an operation by the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit.

They will appear before Westminster magistrates on 24 October.
